ADJOURNMENT
The following was added Monday, July 24, 2017 12:43 PM
On the Selectmen’s Agenda this evening, the Board is scheduled to go into Executive Session at the beginning of the meeting for two purposes. The first Executive Session is to discuss the lease for the Prescott School and is listed on the Agenda under the Clause 6 “Real Estate” exemption of the Open Meeting Law. The second Executive Session is to discuss the Boynton Meadows issue and is also listed under Clause 6. I would like to change the exemption for the Boynton Meadows Executive Session from Clause 6 to Clause 3 as follows:
Executive Session pursuant to M.G.L. c.30A, §21(a)(3) – “To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the Chair so declares.”
The listing of topics that the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting is not intended as a guarantee of the topics that will have been discussed. Not all topics listed may in fact be discussed, and other topics not listed may also be brought up for discussion to the extent permitted by law.
