Agenda

Invasive species are a threat to our open spaces. They decrease
diversity and habitat values, threaten endangered species/natural
communities, and diminish aesthetic/recreational values. The Groton
Conservation Trust has conducted an experiment, beginning in 2014,
to evaluate the effectiveness of three of the most common invasive
species eradication methods at the Bates Land and Shepley Hill.
Trustee Michelle Ruby will present the results of this results of
this study and discuss some of the pros and cons of mechanical
removal, cut-stem herbicide application, and foliar spray herbicide
application.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM with time for networking and snacks, then the presentation will commence at 7 PM.

The listing of topics that the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting is not intended as a guarantee of the topics that will have been discussed. Not all topics listed may in fact be discussed, and other topics not listed may also be brought up for discussion to the extent permitted by law.
