Finance:

1. Review the FY16 Expenditures and Receivables reports
2. Review the Bank Statements & Bank Reconciliations
3. Review and approve Directors Expense report
4. Mileage reimbursement rate drops to 54 cents per mile

Executive:

• Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) implementation current priorities:
1. Complete fiscal agent designation requirements and transition plan (July 1, 2016)
2. Prepare for the development of RFP for the Career Center (July 1, 2016)
3. Complete Career Center Procurement by (December 2016) for implementation (July 1, 2017)
4. Complete the Strategic Plan and develop a regional plan with Central Mass (September 2016)
5. Begin to develop local MOUs with required partners including infrastructure cost sharing (PY2017)

• The Feds continue to delay WIOA implementation, final regulations are not anticipated until June, State plans are not due until April (due without final regulations) and infrastructure funding agreements are not due until (PY 2017)

• The Career Center Standards and Procurement Committee’s progress has been delayed due to some state staffing issues. A revised schedule of meetings should be out soon. The Career Center Standards have been sent to the field for comment, the procurement guidelines are yet to be developed.

• NEG Sector Grant is moving along we have five people enrolled and are recruiting for the next IRT Class with MWCC and the first CNC class with MassMEP

• HI-B grant has been extended through 12/31/16 we have hired Nancy Teasdale to replace Penny Welch working in the Worcester region on this project.

• Disability Employment Initiative grant: Felicia Nurmsen who has been consulting with us in the Disability Resource Coordinator role will be leaving us at the end of the month we have posted this position with the Career Center and we have a couple of candidates we will be interviewing to fill this vacancy. Our biggest challenge with this grant continues to be the recruitment of eligible participants that can be both successful in training and employment.

• Working with MWCC on an application for the Tech Hire grant the next federal HI-B grant.

• Working with Central Mass on an application for Federal Summer Youth funding.

• Dan Asquino has announced his intention to retire in January 2017
