  1. Call Meeting to order.
  2. Review/approve August minutes.
  3. Update on recognition of Allen King for his service to the Town and Historical Commission. (Aubrey Theall)
  4. Discussion of recommendation of Amanda Chang to the Select Board to fill vacant spot on Commission. (Commission)
  5. Prescott House Updates
    1. 18 month demo delay clock continues to tick toward November 2024. Demo permit will be automatically issued in 2 months.
    2. LIDAR scanning/
  6. Discussion of concept of seeking a CPC grant to conduct professional research of the Prescott Family and its significance in Groton history. (Anna Eliot, guest)
  7. CPC project updates for the project to restore the two mile markers and the Bancroft Castle study (Richard Nason, Aubrey Theall, Joshua Vollmar).
  8. Historical plaque pilot program updates. (Tom Horsman, Joshua Vollmar)
  9. Boutwell family gravestone cleaning updates. (Michael Danti- will not be present but plans to provide a report)
  10. Groton Master Plan discussion, if further discussion is needed. (Commission)
  11. Preservation/digitization of historical materials. (Gus Widmayer)
  12. Discussion of historical marker project in partnership with Destination Groton (and possibly others) related to 250th anniversary of American Revolution. (Joshua Vollmar)
  13. Follow up discussion regarding emergency demolition at 368 Main St. due to loss by fire. (Commission)
  14. Any topics not anticipated within 48 hours of the meeting.
