Call meeting to order (Aubrey Theall)

Approve May minutes (Commission)

Prescott House Updates (Aubrey Theall):

18 month demo delay clock continues to tick toward November 2024.

Discussion of estimates received by historic preservation firm, circulated ahead of meeting.

Need to wrap up fundraising effort so we can complete LIDAR scanning.

Solicit individuals that came to public hearing?

Town Meeting was held 5/18, discussion of two approved HistComm applications (Commission).

Historical Mile Markers- Have communicated with Brian Callahan of DPW. How many stones are there and do we have a list of locations?  They did not have sufficient resources to put up/take down every year.  Might be willing to install if they are to stay up full time. (Aubrey Theall).

Historical plaque pilot program update (Joshua Vollmar, Tom Horsman).

Discussion of historical plaque for 197 Main St. (Bob & Rhonda Mullins), take vote to approve (Joshua Vollmar).

Groton Master Plan (Commission).

Ongoing effort to identify and digitize historic materials (Commission). Gus Widmayer to spearhead effort to partner with the Groton Public Library to secure digital storage space.

Additional discussion of process for approving demo permits for non-historical or marginally historical structures where demo delay is not a consideration. (Commission)

Discussion of possibility of changing the name of the Historical Commission to avoid confusion with Historic District Commission, History Center. (Gus Widmayer).

Select Board to appoint Gus Widmayer and Richard Nason at 6/10 meeting, will then need to be sworn in at Town Hall.

Old Meetinghouse updates (Allen King).
