  New Business:

  • The passing of Bob Wyatt - Donations in his memory may be made to The Williams Barn
  • The Sustainability Commission would like to host a small event during one of the September or October farmers markets. Guided hike through Sorhaug Woods where we will teach some fundamentals of forest management. Invite: charlotte.a.weigel@gmail.com

  • Waiver:

 -Williams Barn Committee and Groton Farmer's Market are not responsible for the amount of food/beverages sold. They are not liable to cover any expenses of the food truck.

-By signing this agreement, I agree that I will not hold the Town of Groton and its agents, liable for any personal injury or loss of property, while participation in Groton Farmer's Market.

Upcoming event 

  • Grotonfest Spring into Summer vote and application - May 19th

o   May will set up a Canopy and man the booth.  Please support her.

  • Riverfest in June 9th 11am – 4pm at the Petapawag boat ramp–

o   Setup should be done at 10am and you can park at the NRWA

  • Memorial Day Parade – May 27th
  • Student visits 3rd Grade classes - May 29th and 30th

 

Farmers Market 2024 Season

15 x Summer Markets; Fridays 3pm to 7pm July 5th to Oct 11th

Thanksgiving Market Nov. 23rd

Fee schedule:

$20 per market due day of the market = $300

If paid in full before the July 5th = $260

If paid in full for the remainder of the season, after July 5th: Remaining Markets @$20 ea less $20.

 

Enforcing vendor insurance requirements

All vendors MUST be covered before we allow them at the market.

An Insurance Certificate Naming the Town as an Additional Insured for general liability with limits of $1,000,000 per Occurrence.

  • To Be Approved: “Kodinos Seafood and Svenfish LLC”
  • List to be provided.
  • Food Trucks – Steve W working on this. Will not pay a fee.

  • Bruce is working on the Grants.
