ADJOURNMENT

The following was added Saturday, December 14, 2013 8:32 AM

5:30 PM OPEN SESSION
o Re-vote the FY14 Tax Classification Vote will be taken.

Late Friday 12/13, the Town was informed by the Department of Revenue that the Town’s new Growth for FY 2014 was incorrectly approved by the Department of Revenue. They discovered an additional $1.3 million in new Personal Property Growth that has translated to an additional $27,773 in tax capacity for FY 2014. This has raised the Town's unexpended Tax Capacity from $611,038 to $634,811. The Board needs to re-vote the Tax Classification before the Tax Rate can be certified by the Department of Revenue. While this does not affect the Tax Rate of $17.38, the Board needs to adjust its vote to accept the new unexpended tax capacity. This is an emergency because if this process is not completed, the Town cannot submit our tax recap sheet to the DOR and get the tax rate certified to allow for the timely distribution of the 3rd quarter tax bills

EXECUTIVE SESSION AS ORIGINALLY POSTED TO FOLLOW THIS OPEN SESSION.
