1. Planning for Session #6: “ALL ABOUT PFAS” (Wednesday, October 4^th)
   • Topics to be covered
   • Discussion with confirmed speakers (or representative) from Laurel Schafer (Silent Spring Institute), Tom Orcutt(Groton Water Dept.), Michelle Collete (Board of Health), Alison Manugian (Select Board, if available), Margaret Scarsdale/April Nichols (MA House of Representatives)
   • Plan for any additional program materials to be included
   • Publicity plans & timeline

 

2. Commentary / Learnings from September 6^th Seminar (GELD)

 

3. Planning for Session #7: “Home-Based Energy” (Wednesday November 1^st)
   • Confirm homeowners/speakers from Sustainable Groton: Andrew, Bruce, Charlotte, Phil (should we envision subbing in someone else?)
   • Confirm external speakers: Chris Spychalski (NuWatt Energy), Freddy Petkus (Critical Mass Solar)
   • Consider request to add GELD participation
   • Decide on structure & flow for session
   • Set initial planning meeting/review date

 

4. Early planning for December (#8) and February (#9) seminars for additional post-Labor Day sessions
   • Session #8 – December 6^th: Waste Stream Awareness with DPW, Recycling Committee, Black Earth Composting, and other(s).
   • Session #9 – February 7^th: “Stormwater and Snow Runoff” with DPW, Stormwater & Earth Removal, Board of Health, NRWA, and other(s)
   • Set rough timelines to confirm speakers, identify content, review and publicize

 

5. Consider David Southwick’s idea of an evening “event” – perhaps at Groton Grange instead of Groton Center for one or more of the upcoming seminars
